Try being consistant with your post workout supplements. I find 10g's of glutamine, 2 scoops of waxy maize carbs is great, followed by a protein shake. The g's will depend on your size and goals though. Try that and make sure you get enough protein through out the day. Post workout is great but you need to fuel your body all day.

You should be ingesting some form of simple carb post-workout along with a fast digesting protein and possibly l-glutamine and creatine. I also take in extra vitamin C post-workout.
Also it's what you eat most of the time, the industry will take out a shit load of pre and post workout supplements because yes they are important but what you eat all day is important too, not just shakes, real food!
A small amount of low-intensity cardio also helps with recovery on off days.

try some beta- alanine as well i found it helped a lot with recovering and reducing soreness as well as great workouts on it
Carnosine has been shown to decrease muscle fatigue, increase exercise endurance, improve performance, and help speed recovery times after exercise. Scientific studies have shown that the best way to increase your Carnosine stores is to supplement your diet with beta-Alanine.
